Hawaii tourism is experiencing it worst downturn since 9/11 2001, caused by the this year’s increase in fuel prices and the collapse of Aloha and ATA airlines sharply reducing the number of mainland-Hawaii flights. Look for a combination of package deals and lower airfare costs in the first quarter of 2009 for tourist to take advantage of.
